On the High Street, in the Saxon hilltop town

High Street · Shaftesbury · Dorset

Old things,
well chosen.

A proper antiques shop in one of England's oldest towns — open seven days a week for collectors, browsers and the simply curious. Come and have a rummage.

Every piece in the shop was chosen because somebody here liked it — a chest of drawers with two hundred years of polish in it, a pocket watch that still keeps decent time, a painting of somewhere that might be just up the road. Stock changes week by week, which is exactly why people keep coming back. If you're after something particular, tell us. If you're after nothing at all, even better: those are the best visits.

Downsizing? Clearing a house?

We buy antiques — single pieces
or whole houses

Free, no-obligation valuations, and house clearances handled carefully across Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset. No pressure, no jargon, and a fair price explained properly.

Worth the Trip

An old shop in a very old town

Shaftesbury has been trading from this hilltop for over eleven hundred years. King Alfred founded the abbey; the market followed; the view from Gold Hill went on to become the most famous street in England.

The shop sits at 28 High Street, in the middle of it all. Come for the antiques, stay for the town — or the other way round, we're not fussy.
